Raj Popuri is a healthcare technology entrepreneur, investor and operator with over two decades of experience building and scaling clinical software businesses. He is the Founder and Managing Partner of RASS Ventures Group, a Tampa-based investment and venture-building platform focused on healthcare technology, AI-enabled clinical workflows and founder-stage company formation. Through RASS Ventures, Raj actively invests in and operates alongside founders building the next generation of healthcare and applied AI companies.

Raj was previously the Founder and CEO of iProcedures, a leading anesthesia and perioperative clinical documentation platform serving hospitals and surgery centers across eleven countries. Under his leadership, iProcedures was recognized as Inc. 500 #281 and was named Best in KLAS for three consecutive years (2017–2019). The company was acquired by Clearlake Capital in April 2021 and subsequently merged with Provation Medical; the combined entity was acquired by Fortive Corporation in December 2021 for $1.43 billion.

As an active healthcare investor, his portfolio spans digital health, clinical workflow software, AI-enabled diagnostics, cybersecurity and healthcare infrastructure. He brings particular depth in clinical software, healthcare AI and the operational realities of selling into health systems.

Raj holds multiple board and advisory positions across his portfolio companies and is a frequent voice on the responsible deployment of AI in clinical environments with a particular focus on the principle that in healthcare, reliable delegation matters more than autonomy.

Raj holds a PhD in Engineering from University of South Florida and is based in Clearwater, Florida.
